Starfall.com opened in September of 2002 as a free public service to teach children to read with phonics. Systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice, is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL). Starfall is an educational alternative to other entertainment choices for children.
We took a tour of this site and think $35.00 for the full year is well worth it!

 ABC MOUSE

Parents need to know that ABCMouse.com is a subscription-based educational website for kids age 2 to 6. This site is easy enough for even the youngest computer users to play games and do activities that will help them begin the journey into reading and other kindergarten skills. Kids earn points when they play games or complete an activity, which they can "spend" at a pretend online store. There are no ads or external links. The site, created by the founder of NeoPets, has been offered free to all public schools in the United States and Canada.

We have been using this site for 2+ years and it is great! Many levels ( toddler to kindergarten) to pick from.

 Lesson Pathways 

Free K-5 Curriculum and Teaching Resources

Lesson Pathways is awesome. There are over 900 pathways available for free, and you can pick and choose what works best for you. You can choose between the full “Guided Journey,” which includes 36 weeks of lessons, or just choose the “Pathway” (unit) that works for you. They have lessons in all the main learning areas, and you can assign and reorder them under your student’s name!

This is something that ALL homeschoolers should want.  I am in total awe at how much information is put into each pathway.  No book could ever contain all the info that Lesson Pathways has put together.  I have found a few links that do not work with this and had to look for other websites. This is, by far the most comprehensive curriculum program that I have ever seen! We use this site alot.
